Hydration

Hey, this your boy ReyRey, this morning I went for a run, and I did little over a 3k run. I I actually ran 4.9 miles. It was hot out and at certain points I felt drained and thank God I had water with me. Did you know that water helps regulate body temperature, lubricate joints, transport nutrients, remove waste and circulate blood. When I took swigs of water at different points during my run, it was like shocking my system back to being hydrated. It was so, so refreshing because my water was cold. Every cell, tissue, and organ in your body requires water to function properly.

Case and point, you can become dehydrated from sweating, vomiting, experiencing diarrhea, or taking diuretic medications ( also known as water pills which is a common treatment for high blood pressure) which promotes fluid loss.

We need to look out and monitor the signs and symptoms of dehydration especially when we are conducting some type of sport activity like running, working out, swimming and other high intensity activities. These are the signs you need to look out for:

. Increase thirst

. Dry mouth

. Infrequent urination

. Dry skin

. Tiredness

. Dizziness

. Headaches

If you are working out and you feel one of these symptoms, slow your role and assess the situation. Get some fluids in you. When I am running and I feel a slight dizziness I know it’s time to hydrate and slow down my intensity until I recuperate then I continue my workout. I don’t want to be the man to pass out and end up in the hospital for dehydration. It is said an ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure.

Drinking water is most often the best and cheapest way to stay hydrated and to rehydrate. water contains no added sugars or calories, making it ideal to drink throughout the day or specifically when you need to hydrate, such as after a workout or during a workout.

The question is how much water should you drink per day? The body is about 60% water and we are constantly loosing water from our body, primarily via urine or sweat. To prevent dehydration we need to drink adequate amounts of water. Actually there are many different opinions on how much water we should drink a day.

Health authorities commonly recommend eight 8-onces glasses , which equals about 2 liters, or half a gallon. It is known as the 8X8 rule and kind of easier to remember.

Some believe that you need to sip or drink water all day even if you are not thirsty. as with most things it always depends on the individual. The point is we need to drink water everyday. some might say ” I don’t like the taste of water”. I tell you what, do this test. take a glass of room temperature water vs a glass of water with ice in it. I will submit to you that the taste of the water is different.

I bought this water bottle which is isolated and vacuum seal to keep my water ice cold for 48 hours give or take and let me tell you, I drink more water now than I did before. My water is so, so refreshing to me when I drink it that I have no problems drinking water at different intervals of the day. I recommend this bottle for anyone and everyone. It keeps my water so cold it’s unbelievable. It’s called the H2 Hydrology water bottle. I introduced it to my wife and she can’t do without it now. two thumbs up for that water bottle. below is the picture link to read more about this bottle and get one if you so desire.

Inconvenient Bicycle Parking

Hi, this your boy ReyRey, in my garage I have three bicycles stacked against each other leaning on the wall. In order for me to get one of the bikes, sometimes I have to move the other bikes just to get to the one I want. ” Pain in the neck”. Well, I found this neat gadget called the Bike Clip which is an Indoor Outdoor Wall-mounted Bicycle Rack Storage system. It sounds like a bulky big system you put in your garage or room or wherever to stow away your bike but it’s not, it’s 1.57in by 2.95in by 3.15in that comes with two screws. It’s a great space saver and it comes in different colors to go with the motif of your home. Now getting your bike is simple as Iny Meany Mighty Mo, which one do I want to take and go. click on the link and check it out.

Health Supplements

Why do we need vitamins? According to Nutritionists, Vitamins and minerals are two of the main types of nutrients that your body needs to survive and stay healthy. Vitamins help your body grow and work the way it should. There are 13 vitamins – A, C, D, E, K, and the B vitamins (thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin, B6, B12 and folate.

They are essential nutrients acting in concert. They perform hundreds of roles in the body. They help with the healing of bones, wounds and bolster or strengthens your immune system. They also convert food into energy and repair cellular damage.

With the pandemic of COVID19 and me being a public servant in the community I try to stick to the Public Health Advisory as best as I can. Wear my mask in public, keep my social distance, avoid crowds, closed spaces and close contact when possible. Due to the nature of my job sometimes I cannot avoid crowds and close contact with people. So I take other precautions like praying, taking supplements and exercising to stay as healthy as I can. So far it has been working for me.

A couple of years ago a friend introduce me to this supplement called “Ultra Man” high potency daily multivitamin. for the ladies they do have an “Ultra women” multivitamin as well. My immune system is healthier than ever and I don’t get sick too often with colds, allergies and flues like I use to back in the days. So I am a believer in the Ultra Man multivitamin. When my friend mentioned that particular vitamin I decided to try it and see if I notice a difference if not I would stop taking it. I am still taking it up till this day. I’m a true believer. I also workout and try to eat right. Working out, eating a balance meal and taking my vitamins helped with getting better sleep, less stress, more energy and a better lifestyle.

All I can say is I recommend everyone to try it and tell me your conclusions about it. Just click on the link below and you can read a little more about it and maybe try it and see what happens.

Ultraman supplement is not the only vitamin I take. I also take 1000mg vitamin C because it supports and boosts my immunity. It may reduce your risk of getting chronic diseases like heart disease, which it is the leading cause of death globally before Covid19 came on seen. It may help manage high blood pressure by lowering your blood pressure in both those with and without high blood pressure. Did you know that high blood pressure puts you at risk of heart disease. It may reduce blood uric acid levels and help prevent gout attacks. Did you know that gout is a type of arthritis that affects approximately 4% of American adults. Its painful and involves inflammation of the joints, especially those of the big toes. When you have too much uric acid in the blood gout symptoms appear. You see uric acid is a waste product produced by the body. Vitamin C helps prevent iron deficiency and it has antioxidant. Iron is essential to the body because it makes red blood cells and transport oxygen throughout the body. Vitamin C helps improve the absorption of iron from the foods you eat. More absorption of iron will lead to reduce risk of getting anemia especially in people prone to iron deficiency. Antioxidant can strengthen your body’s natural defenses by protecting cells from harmful molecules called free radicals. When free radicals accumulate, they can promote a state known as oxidative stress, which has been linked to many chronic diseases. One more thing, did you know that vitamin C supplements may aid against conditions like dementia. It is still an ongoing study of how vitamin C supplements affects the human nervous system health.

The links below are some of my recommendations for Vitamin C that I have used.

Faith is the Substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen

That quote was taken from the word of God Hebrews 11:1 All things within the will of God for you is possible if you believe. You want a new beginning, a healthier live of mind body and spirit then you have to begin to believe it’s possible.

Hi, My name is Rey Lewis and I just wanted to share my life experiences and knowledge with friends and family and whoever is willing to listen. COVID19 has changed the way the world conduct business and I am just trying to fit into this mold and help others conform to the new way of life.
